The process for applying the slip at the sacred Baba Bageshwar Dham is straightforward. All that is required is to inscribe your affliction on a slip of paper, fasten it to a coconut wrapped in a red cloth, and leave it at the premises. The coconuts are adorned with red, yellow, or black fabric, indicating the nature of the petition. If your petition is general, tie the coconut with a red cloth. If it pertains to marriage, tie the coconut with a yellow cloth. If it concerns evil spirits, connect the coconut with black fabric. If you cannot make the pilgrimage, you can still apply by leaving a coconut with your prayer at the place of worship in your home. It has been said that Balaji is attentive to the petition of his devotees, even when they are not physically present.

How to know whether the petition is accepted or not?
Acharya Dhirendra Shastri explains that if you have applied with true devotion and your petition is accepted, you will continuously see monkeys in your dreams for two days. If monkeys are seen only on one day, then it is considered that your petition has been reached. If the petition is accepted, a house member will see monkeys in his dreams for two days. If your petition is not accepted, that is, if you do not see monkeys in your dream, you will have to do these measures again on Tuesday. By repeating these measures till 2-3 Tuesday, your petition will get accepted.
