Good Friday - The Day of Sacrifice
Good Friday was a day when Christ sacrificed himself to the zenith of selfless love for their devotees. The tragic incident of the crucifixion and burial of Jesus Christ took place on this day. It is said that God Jesus fasted very hard and sacrificed himself. Now people follow him, remember his sacrifice, and fast for Jesus Christ.
Everyone's way of expressing their gratitude to God is different. Till Good Friday, some Christian followers observe 40-day fast, while others fast on Friday. Good Friday is the day to fulfill the words of Lord Jesus.
What is Good Friday?
People belonging to Christianity celebrate Good Friday, which is also known as Holy Friday, Black Friday, or Great Friday. According to Christian scriptures, Jesus died on Friday. Due to this, Friday before Easter Day is celebrated as Good Friday every year, in the month of April. Although it is a day of mourning, which is observed in remembrance of Jesus Christ. A tale describes the forgiveness in which people hanged Christ on the cross, and he did not utter anything. Instead, he said that God should forgive these people as they do not know what they are doing. While watching that, Jesus was still alive after the two days of hanging on the cross. The cruel people realized their mistake, but then it was too late. Jesus used to convey the message of humanity and peace. Some people accused Jesus Christ of spreading superstition as a large number of Christian communities admired him and followed his footsteps, and he was sentenced to death.
Why and how do people celebrate Good Friday?
People of Christianity celebrate this day to remember Jesus Christ. On this day, they go to church to pay tribute to Christ's sacrifice and do not play the church bells. Candles are also not lit on this day. In many places, people take a mourning journey in the evening wearing black clothes. Everyone remembers the persecution of Jesus Christ. Jesus was tortured and punished by hanging him on the cross for three hours. Good Friday is celebrated as a prayer day. The cross is considered to be a symbol of Jesus Christ; people salute it with reverence and remember him wholeheartedly by mourning the atrocities suffered by God.
Everyone cherishes God according to their respective customs. Some sowing, some praising, and some reading the holy book. People usually dedicate the day to Christ while doing charity and sings God's phrases.
The day is honored to spread love and faith in the world. It pledges to walk on the path of zest and honesty.

- Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
- Every knee will bend before me, and every tongue shall give glory to God.
- For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and everyone who humbles himself will be exalted.
- Excess money shows your dissatisfaction.
- You can make your face look beautiful with feelings of forgiveness, kindness, and love from your heart, not with any other treatment.
- Donors never praise themselves while donating, nor do they mention their donations.
- Never think of yourself in trouble; remember me. I am always with you.
- Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
